Kingxnova
I could probably write a paragraph or two about how amazingly talented this young lady is but sometimes its best to let people speak for themselves.

Sindiso Khumalo
Last night i attended the KZN Fashion Council Show in collaboration with SA Fashion Week at the Colombo Tea and Coffee shop in Umbilo. The council presented KZN designers such as Amanda Laid Cherry, Karen Monk, Coleen Eitzen, Bianca Warren, Cindy Amstrong, Kathrin Kidger. The show was amazing and a great appreciation for our designers who represent on the national and international runway. I especially enjoyed Kathrins collection which was textured, colourful and full of amazing pieces and textile. I unfortunately couldn't take any decent pictures of the collections but you can visit kznfc to check them out.
On the note of kzn designers, there is a new lady on the radar, who i believe is bringing something new & fresh, to our amazing collective of kzn designers. Sindiso Khumalo is a textile designer from Durban, based in London who was one of the finalist for this years Elle New Talent competition, i dig what shes bringing to the table and think we should all watch her space, up and coming. Durban represent!!

Tracker my ASS- Altech Netstar
I know this is not the platform for me to mone about my shitty life but i have to vent. This is the story....
This pass Saturday afternoon i decide to go pass morning side to c a friend at her apartment. I arrive there at about 16h50, park right in front of the gate and go in to have a fat chat and a glass of wine to end a raining day on a cheerful note. At 18h10 about an hour later i decide to leave, i walk through her door and naturally my eyes land on the space where my car is..or rather where my car was suppose to be. It was gone, GONE!! I swear i lost my mind for a second, started shaking in trauma and disbelief. Despite all the trauma i managed to immediately call the tracker company Netstar, whom i had faith in to recover my car and all the valuables that were in it such as my laptop (that is what i pay for every month right). But nooooooo, that did not happen, they just easily said to me "we cannot trace your vehicle, there is no signal". What is that? Just like that my car was gone and so is all the money paid to Altech Netstar every month. Which in my opinion is such a big scam, and makes me think how is Netstar any less of a criminal than the heartless bustards who took the car.
On that sad note, because my laptop was also stolen i will not be able to post as often as i would like, up until i am able to replace my old laptop. Please be patient with me, look after yourselves, your cars and all things of value to you. This is the world we live in and it is SWAK!

Pichulik Jewelery
Katherine is a cape town based artist who is behind this lovely jewellery, Pichulik. I know the whole tribal print and bright colours thing has probably gone too far and will crash but these pieces are a must have, for a timeless statement.

Motif dont Sleep
"Its so unfortunate that you cant do it like i can"
Motif was in town this passed weekend @ Live The Venue. What an amazing treat to super talented South African artists. Got to see the lovely Ms Ibrahim, yoh that chic loves performing and its so refreshing watching someone do something whole hearted. On the other hand, the turn out wasn't great, very disappointing in fact considering such a great line up. Durban come on! Come out and support local artists and live music.

Oh shit...Its Happening...In the mean time!
I am soooooo amped, zealous, excited, all of it! This is the bust of all busts ( for me that is) that has hit my coast this here. Had been longing and secretely jealous of all the cape town and jozi peeps who have had the pleasure of experiencing motif records shows, especially Zaki Abrahaims.
For those who dont know of Motif Records...two words...THE FUTURE. I first got introduced to the record label and its amazing artists when i downloaded the infamous Othelo Burning movie mixtape...one word...EARGASM. What i enjoy most about the mixtape is that its completely inspired by South Africa, its people and their stories. Inspired by us, music with relevance is what we need more of.

Lalesso SS 2013
Dear fashion Gods, i dnt think I've asked much from you, so i dnt think it would be unreasonable to ask that you bless me with this WHOLE collection this summer. ALL OF IT!! I am soo impressed with how this amazing South African brand( for those who don't know) has gone from humble beginnings, selling skirts made from Kenyan fabric to this! This is on another level of innovation, commitment and just goes to show how far passion, inspiration and wanting to make a difference in what you do instead of wanting to just making a living, can get u.. I have no words, i couldn't even pick my favourite, hence i uploaded almost the whole lookbook. There is also a fashion film of this collection shot in Llandudno beach in Cape Town, but i couldn't upload it. Ja i know I'm a let down, but you can check it out on their facebook page.
