Droomer & Clark

Cleo Droomer has collaborated with artist Julia Rosa Clark  for an article that will be in the October Elle magazine. Cleo is a former winner of the Elle Rising Star Design Award which is taking place in about two weeks on 13th September in Joho. I also happen to follow Cleo on Instagram and he posted these pics of the artist process behind the design and the shoot for Elle. Its really great how we are a generation that gets to see more and appreciate more things instantly through technology. Lets appreciate the efforts and thoughts our artist and designers put in.

This video takes place during the time of apartheid where Jackson portrays a singer. Inspired by a blend of '60s and '70s african cultures, the video depicts people free and having a good time. Oh and apparently African supermodel Alek Wek appeared in the video. Dub saved my life

Live( the venue) hosted the Durban leg of the French Connection Tour: Dub Saved My Life on Friday and the stage was on fire. Heads were bumping to some great Djs, Dub Rui, Molecule and the amazing 340ml graced us and had us jamming till the wee hours. Was an awesome night of dancing, conversations and higher heights with great people.

Styling Reminiscence

I haven't mentioned this before, i am a freelance stylist and i have had the opportunity to have done some styling work in the past. I haven't done alot of shoot styling, branding and creative directing in a while, in fact for most of this year. I miss it sooo much and while i was going through some of the work Ive done earlier Ive realised that i should get back into the groove of things. These particular photographs are from a model test shoot i did for Phefumula Productions, a fashion consultancy that myself and Keith Ngcongo of styletribesa) a great friend and visionary started. I really enjoy playing around with trends, and there is no better way to try out a trend on a person that would best suit it, coz lets face it, not all styles and trends suit everyone.
