Kisua is an online fashion destination that has recently launched by Ghananian business man Samuel Mensah is an interesting concept where the brand/online store collaborates with designers from across Africa targeting the international market, mainly the US and UK. These images are from the launch shoot/collection which feautured Noisettes lead singer Shingai Shoniwa whom i absolutely love and admire her African retro chic style( well that's my interpretation of her style). People are making ish happen out here which is great to see, lets not get left behind...SINGASALI!

I'm pretty sure anyone who has visited this blog since its inception has picked up on my obvious adoration and slight obsession with the works of uMaKhumalo. This is the latest from Sindiso Khumalo for Autumn/Winter 2013 titled Umabo. Umabo is one of the Zulu wedding ceremonies where the bride is welcomed into the home/family of the groom. The bride comes bearing gifts for the grooms family dressed in traditional Zulu attire wearing a skirt called isiDwaba( a traditional Zulu maiden skirt made of cow hide the has folds resembling pleats and is given to a bride by her father to wear on her wedding day). I love Sindisos interpretation of the beauty and vibrance of this ceremony and i must say this collection epitomises that.
