eye wear what eye want

Spent women's day picnicking with family at the Durban Botanical Gardens and this is what i wore on the beautiful day. The dress I'm wearing is a vintage find that i got from the lovely Ndumi Matiwane of mindovermatter, and it kind of reminds me of some sort if military nurse dress and wearing it made me feel like a feminine soldier in commemoration of iziMbokodo ( a zulu term meaning the resilience of an African woman) who represented women in the struggle of freedom. During women's month lets remember all the women of Africa that have nurtured this continent. Women that are admirable like the queen of Sheba Makeda , courageous like Helen Josephs and commited like Nkosazana Zuma.

Roses & Poses...How cute!!

Bad girl does it well

M.I.A looks over the top awesome in this vintage Versace ensemble. Cannot help but love her.

Clive Rundle and Alek Wek

This makes sense: great African designer, Clive Rundle working with one of the topn international African models. Not sure what they are working on yet, but will keep my eye, ears and web browser open.

Natalie Creed summer 13

Amazing job by Natalie in her design and photography for her summer 2013 collection. This is the second collection Ive seen since coming across her work and i cant say that I'm disappointed. Loving the pastels, which seem to be the colour for this coming summer, also dig how she snuck in the floral here and there for that whimsical, fresh, summer heat ain't getting to me look( you know how some people manage to look cool and collected, while your hot and bothered! that look). Great stuff Ms Creed.
