Fela Kuti had over 20 wives at some point who all danced and sang for him. The fela kuti queens as they were called were known for their African attires that had bold colours and unique prints. The queens got to represent to the world urban African culture and fashion at a time when the world was oblivious of the existence of an urban Africa, which has inspired and influenced the world including the world of fashion till today.
