90's fresh all the way. box braids are the eish! cheap,low maintenance and they look FRESH. Back in the 90's Janet Jackson rocked them in poetic justice which influenced the Boom Shaka ladies lebo and thembi and the style was then followed and called isiBoom shaka or isiDa brat all over amakasi of mzansi. I definately was one of those kids who cried to do isiBoom Shaka and then stood for hours in front of the mirror dancing to their songs 'its about time' and "thobela". These ladies definately do justice to the legacy of the box braids. These braids happen to be the only style i can do over my dreadlocks so I'm a fan,there is a pic of me wen i had them last winter.xxx
